My favourite look from the SAG Awards 2012 was The Help star Octavia Spencer. She wore Tadashi Shoji.

Rose Byrne is receiving rave reviews for her white jumpsuit byElie Saab. I think her hair and makeup is flawless, but the suit is a little to disco diva and not quite enough red carpet couture for me. What do you think?

It was also great to see Australian designer Collette Dinnigan featured on the red carpet. Ariel Winter looked beautiful and age-appropriate in this dove grey lace dress.

Time

There are few things in life that are always right.

Our morning coffee alters with the barista and the weather report is rarely exact.

But time; consistently moves forward, unaltered and unaffected by external factors. Impassively ticking over. And we, with all our human error believe we can always match this perfect rhythm.

But sometimes we miss a beat, often we are late and regularly we are impatient.

A common attribute desired by most perspective employers is “good time management” and we answer this question with examples of our impeccable ability.

If we were honest we would admit that some days we get it right and some days we are still in our pyjamas when the afternoon news comes on.  

Punctuality is a virtue. But not a measure of character.

We cannot change the number of hours in the day. We do not know how many years we will be granted. And sometimes it is not in our power to affect the to-do list.

Peace however, is not measured in minutes and days. It is the steady knowledge that every little thing is going to be alright.  

So if every once in awhile I come screeching into the car park with no makeup on and eating a Mars Bar for breakfast you’ll understand won’t you?
